Hmmm....well, I graduated from grad school and moved to LA about a year ago and am still in the process of meeting new people and finding out about cool stuff to do. I'm originally from Cincinnati, so I'm enjoying exploring the west coast and seeing the differences between here and the midwest. I *love* music. Especially live music. Looking for new friends to do fun things with on my occasional free evening and weekend. I'm very passionate about my work, but I'm also very passionate about getting the most out of life.

Spend a lot of time making sand angels -- joking. Live like a half block from the beach in Hermosa, and spend a lot of time chillin' with my Israeli roommate. Let me see a little about myself, I am 26 and I live in one of the beach cities in South-Bay, where I enjoy my truck, car shows, shooting pool, and cooking.

Lately I have been well shall we say hoping to find a nice person to spend some quality time with. I moved to California last year and I love it here! I am originally from the east coast and after living in California, I cannot imagine going back to there to live. I just got divorced last year after being separated. I am a full time student, mom, older sister, and soon to be elementary school teacher.

I just got out of a relationship, and while people say you shouldn't mention that, screw them, they can make their own profiles. Far from making me sad or bitter or anything, it shows the great joy a good partner can be. It's just tough finding your match--but worth the effort of looking I believe.

I find these things a little tedious to write, but here I go:

I grew up in a bookstore in the mountains of Colorado. I was surrounded by cheshire cats, mad men, hippies, and psychics on a daily basis; whom made it their goal to augment my mind in a variety of ways. Thus I am well read, and yes I believe in the phenomenon of life at times. Especially quantum physics, the arrow of time theory blows my mind every time I try to rationalize it.

I have lived all over the world. I have dual citizenship with Germany, and my last haunt was Japan before coming to move to LA. I don't know if I love or hate this place, but at the moment it feels like home.

I would describe myself as a laid back person who is independent, ambitious, hardworking, and always smiling. I have an open minded and grounded personality but also like the finer things in life.

Topping off a list of my interests would be traveling, collecting art prints, trying new foods, keeping fit (running, hiking, etc.), and exploring the city. I like to keep busy but I, also, don't mind relaxing at home just being in the moment.

At the risk of sounding like a narcissistic airhead I (damn here we go) am going to attempt to describe "myself" though who can really sum up one's essence with adjectives preceded by words like "super" "really" and "totally"? Hey so I'm 23 and just kinda over the bar scene in terms of dating, not over going to them though lol. Umm I'm taking a break and working now since I just finished college, eventually I'm going to grad school to be a teacher. Umm I've never been on a jamacian bobsled team or on an effin reality show or have any aspirations of being on one (your welcome :)) I'm super afraid of bugs. I like beer..there I said it. Tattoos are sexy. I'm that chick getting the party started maybe dances on tables when I'm out but I'm totally down to stay home and have a cuddle sesh...I def will try anything once...twice...forty seven times if the sitch calls for it. I love scary movies even though I jump at every startling moment, Grilled cheese sandwiches are the key to my heart. One can never be upset after a good make out sesh :) I bake and give betty crocker a run for her money. I LOVE AQUARIUMS..idk theres something soothing about watching fish swim... Superbowl is like christmas and my birthday rolled together with a disneyland season pass on top...u get the idea. I recently got into house music, love indie music and classic rock :) and when I'm tipsy I'll listen to anything. I enjoy flying in airplanes, maybe if i was badass enough id learn how to fly one... that would be pretty rad..yeah anything else just ask,if u dont ur mom will.

I play in a band. I have long hair, and I hate new generic fads.

For all intents and purposes, I'm a hipster. I watch movies by Wes Anderson, I listen to bands that most people haven't heard of, and the lines between ironic enjoyment and the actual fun has become blurred ("the World Series of Air Guitar? What could be funner than that!"). The one thing that hasn't translated is in my clothing style, since I don't keep the Jaws of Life handy around the house to get out of my pants. According to one of my friends this makes me "the hippest hipster of them all", but I'm not entirely sure if she meant this or if it's like when my Mom told me I was cool in 7th grade.

Since I can't pay the bills by acting like I'm already over everything I'm an engineer in the aerospace industry. I like to think that I can at least groom myself and talk about something besides the merits of PHP versus ASP, but, I'm really, really good at Rock Band, so I'm right back to reinforcing stereotypes.

In general, I like to stay active and head out on adventures. I run a decent amount, play golf, and am a whiffle ball All Star. Staying in and watching a movie is fun once in a while, but I'd much rather go check out the grilled cheese festival or something similar. If I come into work on Monday and don't have any good stories to tell, I feel like I failed the weekend.

I enjoy events like The Concours d'Elegance at Pebble Beach, where I get to view the great classic cars of the 30s, such as the Duesenberg, Talbot Lago, Bugatti, Rolls Royce and others. I even enjoy watching Jay Leno describe his cars and drive them on YouTube.com. I'd love to attend the Grand Prix in Monte Carlo and in Italy.

While on a whale watch in Maui, a 50 foot humpback surfaced right next to the boat...four feet away from me. I was staring into his left eye. We held contact for a long moment and then he quietly submerged, swam under the boat and away. I'm up for lots of daytime adventures, but at night, I want my hot shower, a comfy bed with turndown service and a chocolate on my pillow. I am NOT one for camping out.

I am spiritual, but not religious. We all have the spark of divinity within
us... we are all part of Source Energy. We are beings of great light in human form... we are pure energy. We are co-creators. Therefore, we are responsible for that which we create. I love Quantum Theory, especially the part about all possible outcomes to any given situation already exists at roughly even odds and the one that we put our attention to (give energy to) is the likely outcome.

I finally had my dream come true... I'm living at the beach! I have great oceans views and love to watch pelicans fishing and sunsets from my windows. Redondo Beach has just the right vibe for me. The people I'm meeting are warm and friendly. I was a little late getting my clothes out of the dryer and my neighbor had already neatly folded them all for me!

Oh...the beach scene with Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr in the film "From Here to Eternity." It's super HOT and they're both wearing clothes! I even found the beach on Oahu... Halona Cove. I'd like
